A.A. Committee
The A.A. committee is responsible for planning and coordinating conference activities and individual committees for the upcoming conference in coordination with Al-Anon committee chairs.

Al-Anon Committee
The Al-Anon committee works with the A.A. committee to plan and coordinate Al-Anon speakers and activities for the upcoming conference as well as help with all activities where needed.

Committees & Descriptions

The archives committee plans and coordinates acquisition and display of archival recovery information to be shown at the conference.

The audio visual committee plans for the audio visual requirements for the conference. This includes arranging for all rental equipment to monitor speakers in various rooms. Actual recording of speakers is done by an outside company contracted to record and provide recorded media for sale during the conference.

The deaf and hard of hearing committee is responsible for the planning and acquisition of interpreters during the main speakers on the weekend.

The entertainment committee is responsible for the auditioning, acquisition and coordinating of the entertainment for the Friday and Saturday night dances.

The flowers and gifts committee is responsible for providing all flower arrangements, banquet centerpieces, registration gifts and speaker gifts for the conference.

The fundraising committee is responsible for raising money to supplement registrant fees taken in for the weekend. This is done thru raffles and fundraising activities.

The greeters committee is responsible for recruiting volunteers to greet incoming people to both the conference entrance and each main speaker during the weekend.

The hospitality committee is responsible for planning and monitoring the food and beverages in the main hospitality room. They are also responsible for monitoring and maintaining the coffee deliveries throughout the weekend.

The hotel committee is responsible for managing all aspects of the hotel services during the conference weekend.

The Last Call committee is responsible for recruiting volunteers to be present at the late night AA meeting sessions.

The panels committee is responsible for recruiting panel moderators from each area of the Finger Lakes region and for all panel operations during the weekend.

The printing committee is responsible for obtaining a qualified printer to print all conference related material. This committee interfaces with that printer to assure that all material is provided in a timely manner.

The registration committee is responsible for all aspects of the conference registration process including attendee check-in for the conference.

The scholarship committee is responsible for allocating the scholarship monies received to AA members in need. The committee will often reach out to various treatment facilities in the finger lakes region.

The secretary is responsible for maintaining the committee roster, recording and distributing minutes of the committee meetings, as well as other secretarial tasks.

The speakers committee is responsible for reviewing and selecting speakers for the conference. This committee is also responsible for recruiting hosts for each speaker as well as the speaker´s transportation and travel arrangements.

The treasurer committee is responsible for handling all fiduciary matters of the conference including submitting an itemized budget for approval by the entire committee.

The workshop committee is responsible for selecting, scheduling and obtaining volunteers where necessary for each conference workshop.

The website committee is responsible for maintaining the website by obtaining conference related material to be posted on the site and monitoring the email account.

The Ushers committee is responsible for recruiting a schedule of volunteers to be posted outside the various conference rooms during all scheduled panels and speakers.
